What are campaign level conversions?

With campaign level conversion goals, you can override the "include in conversion" setting made at the account level. This allows you to specify which goals you'd like to track for a particular campaign.

With campaign level conversion goals, you can override the "include in conversion" setting made at the account level. This allows you to specify which goals you'd like to track for a particular campaign. The conversions metric, under the main goals column, will only show conversions from the specified goals. Auto-bidding will then begin to optimize for your selected goals.

Notes
  • Changes to campaign level conversion settings only apply going forward. There is no impact to the previously reported "Conv." metric for the campaign.
  • You can choose campaign level conversion goals for both Search and Audience campaigns.

Choose conversion goals while creating a campaign

  1. From the collapsible menu on the left, select All campaigns > Campaigns > Create.

    If you're using the new Microsoft Advertising navigation, from the navigation menu on the left, select Create.

    The campaign creation wizard will then walk you through the process.
  2. When you get to step 4, Budget & bids, under Conversions, select Choose conversion goals for this campaign.

    Note

    The default setting is Use the account level "include in conversion” setting .

  3. Under Select a goal category, enter the name of the conversion goal you want to add.
  4. Select the conversion goal and select Add.

    Note

    You can add multiple conversion goals, but you can only select one goal at a time.

  5. Finish creating your campaign.

Choose conversion goals for an existing campaign

  1. From the collapsible menu on the left, select All campaigns.

    If you're using the new Microsoft Advertising navigation, from the navigation menu on the left, hover over Campaigns and select Campaigns.

  2. Select the name of a campaign.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. At the bottom of the campaign settings page, under Conversions, select Choose conversion goals for this campaign.

    Note

    The default setting is Use the account level "include in conversion” setting .

  5. Under Select a goal category, enter the name of the conversion goal you want to add.
  6. Select the conversion goal and select Add.

    Note

    You can add multiple conversion goals, but you can only select one goal at a time.

  7. Select Save.

    Note

    Your changes may not be reflected immediately.
