Paying by check or bank transfer

Step-by-step instructions on how to pay by check or bank transfer.

Microsoft Advertising accepts check and bank transfer payments on a limited basis. Generally, you can fund your prepay account with a check or bank transfer. If you have a monthly invoice account, you must pay your charges via bank transfer. Your country/region, currency, and payment setting determine whether you can pay by check or bank transfer.

Select the country/region of your business address and then your currency to find relevant check and bank information.


Sending a check or bank transfer for prepay accounts

  1. From the top menu, select Tools > Billing & Payments.
  2. If you have multiple accounts, choose one from the account selector in the top menu.
  3. Select Payment methods from the main menu.
  4. Select Add check/bank transfer.
  5. From the dropdown menu, select the country or region where your bank is located.
  6. Select Next.
  7. Enter your billing address.
  8. Select Create.
  9. In the Payment methods tab, next to the check/bank transfer, select Add funds and follow the instructions for sending a check or a bank transfer.

Paying your monthly invoice

Your invoice contains remittance instructions, the due date (net terms), and the specific customer service contact if you have questions.


To speed up payment processing, you must include your invoice number and account number with your payment. Without this information, payment processing time can greatly increase beyond our typical 5 days.
