Making bulk changes in Microsoft Advertising Editor

Learn how to make bulk changes to an existing campaigns in Microsoft Advertising Editor.

You can make bulk changes for your campaigns, ad groups, keywords and targeting, ads and extensions and destination URLs in Microsoft Advertising Editor. Note: Not all entities can be bulk-edited in Microsoft Advertising Editor.

How to bulk edit campaigns

  1. In the tree view from the left pane or in the data view, select the campaigns you want to edit by using the shift button and clicking on the individual campaigns.
  2. Make the edits for the selected campaigns in the Edit the selected campaigns pane.
  3. In the URL options pane, you can bulk-edit the Tracking template and Custom parameters.
  4. In the Labels pane, you can bulk-edit labels.

How to bulk edit ad groups

  1. In the tree view from the left pane, select Ad groups.
  2. In the data view, select the ad groups you want to edit by using the shift button and clicking on the individual ad groups.
  3. Make the edits for the selected campaigns in the Edit the selected ad groups pane.
  4. In the URL options pane, you can bulk-edit the Tracking template and Custom parameters.
  5. In the Labels pane, you can bulk-edit labels.

How to bulk edit keywords and targeting items

  1. In the tree view from the left pane, select the item you want to bulk-edit from Keywords and targeting.
  2. In the data view, select the ad groups you want to edit by using the shift button and clicking on the individual ad groups.
  3. Make the edits for the selected campaigns in the edit pane.

How to bulk edit ads and extensions

  1. In the tree view from the left pane, select the item you want to bulk-edit from Ads and extensions.
  2. In the data view, select the ads or extensions you want to edit by using the shift button and clicking on the individual ad groups.
  3. Make the edits for the selected ads or extensions in the edit pane.

How to edit multiple campaign budgets

Save time by editing multiple campaign budgets at once. You can set budgets to an amount, or adjust them by an amount or percentage.

  1. Select the appropriate campaign from the type list in the left pane.
  2. In the edit pane, you have the option to:
    • Change your budget amount under Budget.
    • If your budget type is Daily budget, change the Daily budget option from Standard to Accelerated or vice-versa.

      Important

      The accelerated budget type is being deprecated for all ad campaign types except audience campaigns. Starting November 1, 2019, all search, shopping, and dynamic search ad campaigns will use standard budget delivery regardless of the budget type that you have set.

Edit multiple destination URLs

You can edit destination URLs, including dynamic text. If a destination URL is used in more than one ad, you can make your edits to multiple ads at the same time.

  1. In the type list from the left pane, selectAds and extensions and then Text ads
  2. In the data view, select the ad or ads that you want to update.
  3. In the Edit the selected text ads pane, in the Destination URL box, edit the existing URL or type a new one.
