Create campaigns

Learn how to create one or more new campaigns in Microsoft Advertising Editor.

You can create a single campaign or multiple campaigns and then create ad groups, ads, and keywords later.

Create a single campaign

  1. In tree view from the left panel, select the account for which you want to create a new campaign.
  2. In the data view, select Add campaign.
  3. In the edit panel on the right, enter the appropriate information in the Campaign name and Time zone boxes.
  4. Set your budget:
    • Enter a budget amount under Budget.
    • For Budget type, choose either Daily or Monthly.
    • If your budget type is Daily, under Daily budget options, choose either Standard or Accelerated.
Notes
  • After you create a campaign and before you upload it to your Microsoft Advertising account online, you can edit the time zone setting in the campaign's edit panel. However, you cannot change the time zone setting after you upload the campaign.
  • Ad groups that target specific days of the week or parts of the day (also known as "day-part targeting" or "day-parting") will display ads on search results pages based on the time zone of the person who performs the search. The time zone is determined by the IP address of that person's computer.
  • Your campaign is now ready for you to create ad groups, ads, keywords, and bids. Next steps:
  • To activate changes that you make in Microsoft Advertising Editor, you must post them to your Microsoft Advertising account.
