This article covers how to change your password and what to do if you need to change the user name or email address that you use to sign in to Microsoft Advertising. If you’ve forgotten your password, see I forgot my user name or password.
The steps to change your password depend on how you are signing in to Microsoft Advertising:
From the top menu, select Tools > Preferences > My settings.
If you're using the new Microsoft Advertising navigation, from the navigation menu on the left, hover over Settings and select My settings.

If you are still signing in to Microsoft Advertising with a user name, you can't change your user name, but you can transition to signing in with an email address (a Microsoft account). Signing in with an email address will be required for all Microsoft Advertising customers in the future.
Now, let's clarify what we mean by "changing your email address." If you are just trying to change your contact email address, the email address that Microsoft Advertising uses to send you information about your account, see Change contact information. If you want to change the email address that you use to sign in, you need to follow the steps below to add (or invite) yourself as a new user (using a new email address) and then delete your old user profile. If you need help with this change, you can contact support.
Only Super Admins and Standard Users can invite or delete a new user.
Invite a new user
From the top menu, select Tools > Account access > User management.
If you're using the new Microsoft Advertising navigation, from the navigation menu on the left, hover over Settings and select User management.
After you enter or create an email address, you'll be taken back to Microsoft Advertising.
Delete an existing user
From the top menu, select Tools > Account access > User management.
If you're using the new Microsoft Advertising navigation, from the navigation menu on the left, hover over Settings and select User management.
