Viewing your campaign data

Learn how the data view in Microsoft Advertising Editor provides several predefined views that can help you more easily find specific data related to your campaigns.

The data view in Microsoft Advertising Editor provides several predefined views that can help you more easily find specific data related to your campaigns. For example, you can quickly filter your campaign data to show only those campaigns that have been paused. Or, you might filter your campaign data to show keywords that have been disapproved through the editorial review process.

If the predefined views aren't showing you the data you want, you can create and save custom views. These views enable you to define criteria that helps you quickly see the data that you care about the most.

Add or remove columns in the data view

You can customize the data view to show the specific columns you care the most about.

  1. In the type list from the left pane, select Campaigns, Ad groups, Keywords and targeting or Ads and extensions.
  2. In the data view, select Column chooser Select the columns you want to display, and then select or clear the column name.
  3. To use default columns, select Column chooser Select the columns you want to display, and then at the end of the menu, select Reset to default columns.

Apply a preset view to your campaign data

  • In the data view, select View, and then choose one of the following views:
    ViewDescription
    Active All items with Active status.
    All All items, such as campaigns or keywords, no matter what their status, as well as all active error, warning, and conflict messages, and items most recently imported into Microsoft Advertising Editor.
    ConflictsAll current conflict messages that apply to items.
    Deleted All items that have been deleted since the last post with Microsoft Advertising.
    Duplicate keywordsOpen Find duplicate keywords dialog box where you search for duplicate keywords.
    Editorial DisapprovalsAll current editorial disapproval reasons that apply to items.
    ErrorsAll current error messages that apply to items.
    InformationAll current informational messages that apply to items.
    Last Import All items that were most recently imported into Microsoft Advertising Editor (please note that negative keywords do not currently appear in Last Import view).
    Paused All items with Paused status.
    Pending post All items with Pending status.
    Suspended All items with Suspended status.
    WarningsAll current warning messages that apply to items.

Create a custom view for your campaign data

  1. In the data view, select View, and then select Save custom search as.
  2. Under Status, choose at least one status that you want the view to apply to.
  3. Under Add search criterion, do the following:
    • Choose the criteria you want to use for populating campaign data in your custom view.
    • To select additional criteria, select Add another search criterion.
  4. To save your view, select the Save current search to the View as checkbox and then type a name for your view.
  5. Select Apply.

    To use your custom view, select View and then select the name of the custom view.

Customize the data view

To add, remove, and resize columns in the data view:

  1. On the right side of the data view toolbar, select the column-picker icon.
  2. Select or deselect columns.
  3. You also have the option to resize columns to fit either the size of the window or the size of the content in the columns.

You can also rearrange the columns in the data view by dragging and dropping columns to your desired location.
