Get more keyword ideas

Need help getting keyword ideas? Use the Keyword research tool in Microsoft Advertising Editor.

You can potentially increase your impressions and click-through rates by bidding on more keywords, and you can better target your ads by using negative keywords. To find additional keywords and ideas for negative keywords, and then add those keywords or negative keywords directly to your ad groups or campaigns, use the keyword research tools.

  1. Click Tools in menu bar, and then select Keyword research, and click Find related keywords.
  2. In the Keyword Research dialog box, type a word or phrase, and click the search icon.
  3. From the list of similar words, select the words that you want to add to your list of keywords or negative keywords.
  4. In the Add selected keywords to list, select a location for the new keywords, and then click Add.

  1. Click Tools in menu bar and then select Keyword research, and click Get keywords from a website.
  2. In the Keyword Research dialog box, enter the URL you want to extract keywords from, and click the search icon.
  3. (Optional) If you want to add keywords to an ad group, do the following:
    1. From the list of generated keywords, select the keywords that you want to add to an ad group.
    2. In the Add selected keywords to list, click Ad group keywords, and then click Add.
  4. (Optional) If you want to add negative keywords to an ad group or campaign, do the following:
    1. From the list of generated keywords, select the negative keywords that you want to add to an ad group or campaign.
    2. In the Add selected keywords to list, click either Ad group negative keywords or Campaign negative keywords, and then click Add.
